About the Michigan Deer Classic

The Michigan Deer Classic was created to bring hunters together, celebrate Michigan’s rich outdoor traditions, and create a new way to experience deer season.

MDC is a statewide, season-long deer hunting tournament built around the values that make hunting special: time spent outdoors, memories made with family and friends, respect for wildlife, and the stories shared after the hunt.

While the harvest is an important part of the experience, we believe the greatest trophies aren’t always measured by antlers. They are measured by the friendships formed, traditions passed down, lessons learned, and moments that last a lifetime.

The Michigan Deer Classic is not just about chasing bigger deer — it’s about celebrating every hunter’s journey. From the first-time hunter learning the ropes to the experienced outdoorsman who has spent decades in the woods, MDC is a place where Michigan hunters can connect, compete, and share their passion.
